La entrega de los Globos de Oro en su edición número 69 no vino sin algunas sorpresas y otras decepciones, una de las cuales, como muchos concordaron, fue la suavidad con la que Ricky Gervais presentó el evento. Su monólogo inicial, que vino con algunos aciertos, estuvo bastante cómico (cómo no quererlo simplemente por la broma de Justin Bieber, aunque no tenga nada que ver con cine), pero no fue para nada el Gervais arriesgado que todos esperábamos, y durante el resto de la jornada, su presencia fue totalmente olvidable.

Pero el evento estuvo algo interesante, con algunas sorpresitas en las categorías cinematográficas que sorprendieron a más de uno. Martin Scorsese se llevó el premio de Mejor Director por Hugo, Woody Allen se llevó Mejor Guión por Midnight in Paris, George Clooney le ganó la estatuilla cuando parecía que Michael Fassbender ya lo tenía cantado. Dentro de todo, se puede decir que no fue una pérdida de tiempo, así que mejor vean la lista completa de ganadores y decidan ustedes.
